Publication of Stephen’s books on Angola is now confirmed: Fissured Ground: National History in Angolan Literature, Origins to Independence is forthcoming from McGill-Queen’s University Press in April 2026; the second volume, A Single Nation: National History in Angolan Fiction, Independence to 2025 is will appear from the same publisher in 2027.
