Stephen has new short stories coming out in The Antigonish Review and the anthology Lonely Boy, to be published by Cormorant Books.

During the summer of 2012, Stephen gave talks at University College Dublin  and Fort Canning Centre, Singapore. 

Stephen's essay "How the Giller Prize Swallowed Canadian Literature," first published in the Summer/Fall 2011 issue of Canandian Notes & Queries has been selected for Best Canadian Essays 2012, published by Tightrope Books.

Stephen's essay on the novels and short stories of Argentine writer Adolfo Bioy Casares will be included in the forthcoming volume, Adolfo Bioy Casares: Borges, Fiction and Art from University of Wales Press.
